wendy's granola bars

I thought it was about time I put an orginal recipe up...so here it goes. I hope you enjoy it. My hubby says that it tastes like the green (you put correct name here) wrapped granola bars from the store.

Wendy’s Granola Bars

Ingredients:
1/2 cup Honey
1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
3 tablespoons Vegetable oil (I use canola)
2 teaspoons Ground cinnamon
1 1/2 cup Quick cooking oats
1 cup Small broken pieces of pecans
1/2 cup Smooth peanut butter

How to:
Preheat oven 350 degrees.
9x9 cake pan (Preferably made of silicon, if not available, then use parchment paper or other material heavily greased and hanging over the pan in such a way that it will be easy to lift the granola bars out in a solid 9x9 block.)
Mix all ingredients well and put into cake pan and pack down so there are no pockets of air and corners are filled. Smooth top flat.
Bake for 30-40 minutes. Be careful because honey likes to burn. You only want the edges to brown a light brown.
While granola is still in the pan, use a spatula to cut the granola into desired shapes. I cut one side in half and the other side every 1 1/2 inches so about a dozen rectangle bars are cut. Do not remove from the pan. Take the whole silicon pan and flip onto a sheet pan by putting sheet pan upside down on top of cake pan and flipping over. If you used another method no flipping should be needed. Separate bars carefully and let cool. If parts have broken off pushing back together should work. Wrap up and store in refrigerator. Bars should last two weeks.
